- You are applying for your first U.S. passport
- Your previous passport was issued over 15 years ago.
- Your previous passport was issued when you were under age 16
- Your most recent previous passport is not in your possession
Choose Your New Passport Processing Time:
Select processing times that match your travel deadline: 5–8 business days, 8–16 business days, or 16–21 business days. Passport expediting service fees apply based on the processing time you choose.
Requirements:
1. New Passport Requirements: Proof of Citizenship and Identification
- Original or certified birth certificate
- An expired previous passport
- Original citizenship certificate
New passport requirements include proof of U.S. citizenship (birth certificate or citizenship certificate) and valid identification. Provide acceptable identification documents as required for your passport application.
2. Proof of Identification (Applicant):
- State-issued Driver's license
- Military I.D. bearing photo
3. Passport Photos (2x2):
- You must submit two 2x2 passport size photos
4. Complete the New Passport Application (Form DS11):
- Complete the online new passport application (Form DS-11), then print it. Do not sign the DS-11 form until instructed by an authorized agent. We'll walk you through new passport requirements step-by-step.

5. Proof of Departure and Authorization:
- Copy of travel itinerary
- Company letter (for business travel)
Provide proof of departure such as a copy of your travel itinerary or a company letter for business travel. A letter of authorization is emailed after you contact Passport Experts.
